Israel had shut off water and electricity from Gaza 110 days ago. One hundred and ten days ago. Most of us would literally not survive this long without clean water and electricity. Look around you right now and tell me how many things in your vicinity depend on electricity. Are you able to imagine a life without uninterrupted access to water? I still remember the old lady who was interviewed in a tent who said “the question you should be asking me is how long ago was the last time I showered”.

To know that millions of people have their literal life spans, their movement, their access to water, when they can eat, what and how much they can eat, when and how often they can shower, how and where they sleep - to have it all be controlled and dictated for them while also, simultaneously, the mere idea of providing them with aid is “out of everyone’s hands”?

There are fucking miles of aid trucks, filled with essentials, that are stopped right outside of Gaza at the Rafah border, while people inside of Gaza are freezing and starving and dreaming of clean water to drink. How does this not infuriate you?

Fuck Israel and every nation that enables and emboldens it.

There is a heart wrenching video of a father who went to buy biscuits for his son only to return and find out his son and the man’s wife had both been killed by an Israeli air strike. He is seen putting the pack of biscuits in his son’s hand and saying “take it with you to heaven”.

There is an indescribable pain to all of this, and I don’t know what Israel thinks it’s doing by ripping everyone’s heart out like this if not to make the whole world resent the mere mention of it.

I don’t think the question we should be asking at this point is “how do you justify this?” anymore, even if rhetorically. We need to understand that it is simply irrational to expect an occupying power that built itself on ethnic cleansing to provide any means of reasoning.

This is genocide, you don’t debate genocide and you don’t rationalise genocide.

I don’t care what you do, but speaking about Palestine doesn’t suffice anymore. Speak louder, force people to have uncomfortable conversations, call whoever the heck your representative is, go out to rallies if you can, push others to do the same - this is unlike anything we have seen.

We lost the fucking plot when we started doing “pro vs anti” ship discourse i am SO serious when i say that its literally not that deep and treating it like it is will give you brain rot beyond your comprehension

“Youre in fandom? Are you pro or anti ship ://” i have a full time job and pay taxes in tangible real life bestie

Do you think i give any hint of a shit that some teenager is writing “problematic fiction” on ao3 when inflation is a real thing and passengers tell me to kill myself 7 times a day because i took their shampoo away after they were told no less than 20 times that anything over 100ml cant fly. Do you think i care that tumblr users are doxing each other over fictional character opinions when rent prices are tag teaming me with utilities and car prices and the existential enui of being a trans guy in alberta. Do you think i care. Do you think any of this actually matters. Get real problems i am SERIOUS

This is a complete misunderstanding of what “uniquely evil” means when people talk about the Holocaust. It is not a quantitative statement about death toll or individual suffering. It is about ideology and the execution of that genocide. Nazi Germany wanted to extermined every single Jewish person on earth and used extensive industrial means to do this. Unlike colonialism where genocide and slavery was a means to an end to gain resources, the Germans even diverted essential war infrastructure in favor of commiting the genocide. It was a killing for the sake of killing. This is unprecedented and unique in all of history. And just pointing out this qualitative difference does not at all negate the atrocities suffered by POC at the hands of colonial empires.

You really have no idea what white people did to black people in this country do you? You just talk and talk and talk. “It was a killing for the sake of killing. This is Unprecedented and unique” That’s crazy to me.
